Description

When drilling the well, the choke manifold is attached to either side of the BOP; it can perform choke circulation and bleed by opening and closing valves on the manifold or adjusting the choke valve. It can also vary the pressure between the bit pressure and the case. If a well blowout or kick occurs during the drilling process, open the choke manifold to bleed and lower pressure.

Drilling requires the use of a choke manifold.
